International guests visiting The Glacier King requires an international flight to Buenos Aires followed by a Domestic flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate. If you need help booking your domestic flights, hotels or transfers our local partner will assist.

 

International flights
Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE): This is the largest and most important Buenos Aires airport. It is located at a distance of 21 miles / 34 kilometers southwest of the city of Buenos Aires. This Buenos Aires airport is used for traveling to Europe, North America and other continents.

 

Domestic flights
Aeroparque Jorge Newbery Airport (AEP): This is the main airport in Buenos Aires for domestic flights and some international flights to neighbor countries. It is located only 15 minutes away from downtown Buenos Aires, on Costanera Avenue (North Riverside).
Estimated transport time between the International airport (EZE) and the Domestic airport (AEP) is 45 minutes with taxi.

 

International Airport Comandante Armando Tola
El Calafate is one of the main touristic destinations of Argentina. The local airlines offer around 7 flights a day from 5am to 22hs. We highly recommend to visit the town or the surrounding on your arrival day and go to the estancia on the next morning.

 

El Calafate to Glacier King

Guests will be picked up from their hotel in the morning and transferred to the ferry port of El Calafate appr. 1 hours frive from El Calafate city center. From there we take a ferry to the Estancia Cristina where we will be staying during the trip. The ferry ride takes appr. 3 hours and passes by the famous Upsala Glacier, a very popular tourist attracation in itself.
