Climate

The climate in Jurassic Lake is a so called mid-latitude steppe climate. Our fishing season from November to late April covers the late spring, summer and early autumn season. In November daily temperatures reach up to 16 and drops to 3 at night, In January it is normal to have temperatures reaching 19-20°C degrees with night time temps dropping to 7°C. When we move into April, early autumn, temperatures normally reach 12°C during the day and drop to 3°C at night.

Being an open steppe landscape the sun and wind have a big effect on the weather. Days with no wind and sun during the early months means warm summer days and you’ll be fishing in a t-shirt and wading jacket. Coming into late March and April temperatures are lower and you will need some warm clothes for the windy days.
